About Event

The workshop is planned to be conducted for two days 25th&26th august 2022 under the title “Foundation of Computational Fluid Dynamics”. The resource person professor A.K. Arun is the Director of AK Center for Excellence Pvt Ltd and also PhD scholar at NIT, Surathkal. He has rich experience in both academic and industrial fields. He is well versed in the fields of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, computational fluid dynamics & aeroelasticity. Hence the workshop will be very useful for all having interest in the related field.

1 PM Simulation of turbulent flow over a cylinder to capture stagnation point and flow separation region

4 PM Simulation of turbulent flow over an airfoil with C-Grid and plotting of Cp vs X/C curve and Velocity boundary layer capture
Day 2
9.30 AM –
10.45AM Different types of meshing options, mesh quality parameters, Turbulent models, Grid independence study
11AM –
1 PM Introduction to Rotating flow field - Simulation of Rotating Propeller blades
2PM-
4 PM Simulation of Rocket body at hypersonic speed and capturing of shockwaves
